My passion for seeing the world began when I attended a college program abroad. I lived in a 13th century convent in Fiesole, Italy . With the opportunity to travel all over Europe, I enjoyed adventurous trips by ferry, yacht and train. That was the start of a lifetime of wanderlust. I have always experienced the excitement and joy of direct, personal contact with other people, other lands and other cultures.
Once I married and had a family, I found new ways of doing what I love. In 1994 I created Are We There Yet? Family Travel. My years of experience, not only traveling with my own family but also planning trips for other families provided a strong foundation of knowledge and skill. Family travel can be so much more satisfying than simply reciting a list of where you went and what you saw. Ideally families will return enriched by their travel and by the memories they created as a family.
Are We There Yet ? has continued to grow. I have realized that many of my clients are interested in travel without their children. Some clients have become empty nesters. It’s Our Time was established to customize trips for couples yearning for a romantic getaway or an adventurous trip.
